History:

His mother having died in a tragic accident when he was barely out of the egg, Clu was raised by his eccentric father who had some unusual scientific theories about the connections between mer-people and humans. Clu shares his father's curiosity and fascination with humans, having added his own collection of human objects to those his father gathered, to the point that their dwelling on the outskirts of the city might be mistaken for a junk shop at first glance upon entering.

Since his father's disappearance on one of his expeditions, Clu has held down the fort, making a modest living making and selling seashell-based jewelry and accessories while spending time indulging his passion for exploration outside the city.
